Spotting the Network Marketing Scams
(Lessons 3-4)

Lessons 3-4 helped me to avoid the network marketing scams that sometimes get business opportunity seekers into trouble.

Lesson 3 - See Through the Lies

The network marketing industry is trying to package an outdated business model that hasn't worked for a generation, and feed it to you as if it is still alive and well -- and then people wonder why they fail.

Read the FREE ebook The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing by Ann Sieg. Ann is a 20 year veteran and one of the most experienced network marketing company mentors around today. Fortunately for us, she has dedicated herself to helping people reject misleading information about how to make money online.

In her ebook, Ann reveals many of the predatory tactics that have caused people to be misled into network marketing scams. Her ebook is free, but the guidance you will receive there is extremely valuable.

Lesson 4 - Seek Quality Products and Services

Don’t get involved in companies that are not selling a product or service and promise instead that your income depends on bringing people into the business.

These are those multi level marketing (mlm) businesses that you hear so much about while learning the ropes.

If you join an orientation call and are introduced to a fantastic commission schedule, but hear nothing about an underlying product or service, RUN in the other direction!

I still receive emails from some of those mlm companies, and sometimes just can't believe the brazen promises they make.

Think about it this way: if you had an effortless cash machine, would you let anyone else know about it? NO - you'd keep it for yourself. Why are they giving it away so indiscriminately if it works so well?

Down the road, and probably sooner than you'd think, these businesses are likely to be categorized as Ponzi schemes or some other type of illegal Pyramid scheme. That will be the end of that income stream for anyone who somehow has been lucky (or unlucky) enough to generate one.

Here is an article from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission that discusses what kinds of network marketing businesses are likely to be characterized as illegal Pyramids once the regulators get wind of their operations.
