One of the problems I have noticed with making money online is that so few people who sell their business opportunities on the Web are willing to follow up with their buyers.

These sellers take an attitude that new members must prove themselves worthy as marketers and sellers before they are worthy of personal contact. That leaves many of us feeling cold - because the sellers were sure in touch with us when they were trying to get our money!

This selfish practice builds disillusionment with the network marketing industry, as business leaders take money from enthusiastic newcomers and then all but disappear from sight - taking their money making secrets and their sales expertise with them.

Network marketing needs to live up to its name. Interpersonal networking has to be encouraged from the very beginning of the business relationship, since the set up and launch stages are when entrepreneurs start to form an impression of the owners and their products.

These impressions bear on a person's morale as (s)he starts to wrestle with the challenges of the specific business opportunity - they impact the reputation of the business' leaders and, ultimately, the reputation of the industry as a whole.

I personally enjoy making money online. I don't want for that income stream to dry up. Taking a broad view of the situation (that few people do), I believe that if the reputation of the industry gets hurt by a callous lack of training, mentoring and reliability, this is a distinct possibility.
