Wealth Creation Strategies through
the Collective Mind

The collective mind is the energy force that makes all personal wealth creation strategies possible. This article contains tips and techniques for communicating certain ideas and receiving wholesome feedback from this powerful source of wisdom.

Thinking about Utility. In the late-18th century, a theory known as utilitarianism set the world on fire. Sounding a great deal like the modern definition of "hedonism," this controversial but nevertheless powerful theory associated the concept of "good" (as in, not bad) with things that brought the most pleasure (or freedom from pain) to the most people. The more pleasure the thing brought, the more it was good -- the right thing to do.

Though often challenged, that utilitarian definition of "good" has never completely gone away. It proliferates our judgment of every thing we do - and every thing that is done to us, its goodness or lack of goodness.

The Language of the Collective Mind Philosophers have identified that the collective mind speaks a utilitarian language. Those things that provide the greatest pleasure or freedom from pain get rewarded highest -- through higher income.

The most focused of wealth creation strategies have a utilitarian theme running through them. When pursuing a collective consciousness exercise, it is helpful to think like an entrepreneur, who must consider the utilitarian value of his or her ideas.

How to Start. The fundamental question of utility to ask yourself is the following:

What opportunities (goods/services) can I create that will bring the most happiness (or avoidance of pain) to the greatest number of people?

Here are some helpful variations on that question that you should be asking yourself:

  • What do we collectively want in this society?
  • What problems do we have?
  • What needs are not being satisfied?
  • What have I as a person in this broader group been dissatisfied with? Is it a dissatisfaction that is collectively shared?
Remember that the broader the range of people desiring your good or service, the greater your value and the greater your income potential will be once you offer it.

Where to Start. Don't become distracted when you ask yourself these questions. Think about the places where you feel most at peace, and do your creative visualization there.

Do you have a favorite getaway spot in a park or other peaceful location?

What about when you are feeding your baby or playing with your pets?

Any of these peaceful moments would be a possible time to silence the individualistic “noise” of biased, selfish and troubled thoughts, at least for a while.

If you still need help quieting your mind in order to get the most out of your time, transcendental meditation is a great technique that can put you into the right mindframe. A local Transcendental Meditation center can provide a more disciplined environment for relaxed thought and crative visualization, eliminating the distractions of your everyday life.
